Related: About this forumDo you have a Discover card?
If so, how do you like the new statement format and layout?
I do not like it.
The type face is harder to read and the charges are listed chronologically instead of grouped by category.
If you feel the way I do, please call Discover customer service at 1-800/347-2683 and tell them. I did.
Talked to a very pleasant woman who said this is how they learn what the customers want.

(22,883 posts)She's been a customer for years. I did hear her complaining about the layout of their new statements. Good luck getting them to change, however!
One interesting point: We travel to Europe once a year and discovered that Discover is not really accepted on the Continent. Curious. Fortunately, I have a Visa card. (I think my wife might have planned this so I'd get stuck with the checks!)

(9,605 posts)I have a Discover card, and a checking and savings account with them. I think they are the best. However, I do all my banking with them online and never have a need to even see the actual statement. I log on at least once a week to check out my card charges and balance, and to record any activity I may have missed.
Are you opposed to doing online banking?

I had no problem with the type face either.
I'm sorry you had problems.

I don't care much about the date of a transaction, but I liked being able to see at a glance how much was spent on groceries, gas, merch, entertainment, etc.
question everything
(48,797 posts)What does, it offers credit record and it used to be on a separate sheet of paper which I would shred. Now it is on the statement itself. Perhaps I will call.

(10,885 posts)Same reasons, too.
I had occasion to be on the phone with Discover Customer Service last week on another matter, but I did take a moment to tell them I preferred the past billing version.

(54,273 posts)There are several options to configure your statement the way you want.

(10,885 posts)You cannot change how your statement appears but you can change the font/text size of your online statement by selecting "Activity & Payments" then selecting Statements. The "Text Size" option appears in the right hand corner of your account activity.
This was an excerpt from the Help Center/FAQ.
Where else should I be looking for this info?
BTW: When I commented to the CSR, she did not mention an option for changing the statement design.
