And they can go whiz up a tree.
The call was from "Drug Enforcement" --- buying ibuprofen triggers a call?
A male Midwestern sounding recorded voice told me, "this was the last attempt to reach me, your Social Security number was going to be suspended."
Googling the # got me to pages saying this is a scam.

(11,525 posts)They leave a message on my voice mail. I guess I could block them but I'm curios how long they are going to do this. It's such a waste of their time.

(6,448 posts)With the last one, I used my landline's 2 receivers as weapons.
Holding the one phone I had answered, I rushed to the 2nd receiver. Then I pressed the On button, put it on speaker, and the shrieking feedback made them disappear for good.

(29 posts)I've heard these Social security scams maybe since more than 3 years ago. I have just Googled about it and found some reports filed at https://www.whycall.me/210-503-9954.html about similar scams since few months ago. People should be quite familiar with how these scumbags work.
