I have a wealth of knowledge I have gained over 72 years. I know what works for me and what doesn’t.

about at all. Bigger problem is accessing health care in a rural area. As you age you're going to need regular and emergency care, no matter how independent you are now, unless you seriously intend to live out your last years in pain and disability.

Clean out your dad's belongings now. There are plenty of articles on the internet on how to do it. Than pare down your own belongings to rid yourself of anything you haven't used in the past 3 years. After that, you should be able to think rationally about where you want to live. Good luck!
