When does one move from a general practitioner to a geriatric specialist?

Time for my annual checkup and so many of my concerns are age related that I wonder.

On the other hand, I don't think that my physician is much younger than myself. Ha.

(and pretty 'young,' maybe 40-something.) Think I'll stick with him for a few more.

I live in a mega senior development, in an area of mega senior developments and there are few here.

my health problems can no longer be solved by my GP. Usually, I just see a specialist when my GP thinks I need one. I guess if I get to the stage where I can't remember my husband's name or don't know where I live, my problems will be too big for my GP and a geriatric specialist might be a prudent move.
