I am 87 and as I approach old age, I would like some advice or reviews of medical alert plans such as medical guardian,

ADT etc. As I look at ads they all look pretty much the same but it seems like there is a lot of hidden info that would be useful to know before signing up.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know what one of those things can do for me that my cell phone won't. A friend recently had a stroke, and her phone got her all the help she needed.

I guess if it's around your neck, you don't have to reach for it.

also be worn on the wrist, similar to fitbit, etc.
I personally don't carry my phone around with me all the time- it's in my purse and infrequently used. Am personally adverse to wearing/carrying devices on my person at all times, though I recognize their usefulness in an emergency.

I had been after her for a few years to get something and she finally did. She didn't tell me though.

One morning I got a call "Hi, this is ADT!" "You're selling me an alarm system at 5:30 in the morning?"

That's how I found out she'd signed up.

Old Age!

If you have a landline, there are pendants that are actual small extension landline phones. Like all landline extensions, they have no monthly fee. Google Logic Mark. I’ve been using one for about 10 years. I’m younger than you, but approached old age earlier. 😉
