Rural/Farm Life
Related: About this forumQuestion....
I don't live in the country but I hope to in a few years. I grew up on a produce farm. For personal use we had quite a few chickens, a pig or two and my family hunted for a lot of their own meat including but not limited to squirrels (my grandmother loved her some squirrel.)
So, am I welcome in this group even though I don't meet the statement of purpose standard? It is really a narrow purpose, no?

(6,783 posts)I grew up on a working farm with dairy, beef, poultry and crop operations that produced income. I have lived half my life in the country and hope to return to live there again. But I do not live in the country at the present and would seem to be excluded from this group.

There are advantages and disadvantages to living rural but after doing it now for over 20 years the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.
Welcome aboard.
