I don't remember much about them, but apparently if they got out of their pen, they would come in the house and she would have to wrestle with them to get them back where they belonged.

Who I love... but Im also in the process of transitioning out of my small herd of black angus cows and replacing them with boer goats... theres good money in them high demand and they are so so much easier on the land... you can run 5 or 6 for every cow they dont overgraze the pasture they make use of so much broadleaf stuff cows wont touch and their carbon footprint is even smaller fractions.

And yes, they're hell on weeds and blackberry brambles.

How are you making money off yours? Renting them out?

I milk these Nubians. I make cheese and my wife makes soap she sells at the farmer's market. I sell a small amount of milk off the farm. They are also registered so I sell the kids as breeding stock. ... The more truthful answer is I don't really make money off them and they are a lot of work but they do pay for themselves. Now boers go for like $250 cwt. the prices are unreal compared to cattle which have been in the gutter for 3 years... you wouldn't know it by the price of beef at the grocery store would you? Somebody makes money on that it just isn't the small cow calf guy.
