Gun Control & RKBA
Related: About this forum"Ban men from buying all guns?"
I just saw this in a thread about a shooting and 2 deaths.
I mean...
I am a man.
I used to own two guns.
(Sold both, a shotgun and a pistol)
This "ban all guns" hysterics is getting completely out of control.

(26,452 posts)So many ways to bypass this.... Better to do something with the guns themselves....
Specifically.
Banning magazines with more than 10 bullets is a good start.

(26,452 posts)I'm great with banning specific configurations - but soft bans such as age, gender, will always find a way....

(106,330 posts)People are venting. Moderation can't come when emotions are at their peak. But, the truth is that we do have to address the issue of toxic masculinity in this country and guns are a BIG part of that.

Thanks for the heads up on that thread.

Funny, that.

(18,576 posts)As far as allowing only women to buy guns, my only question is, "Would that have included Nancy Lanza?"

(18,576 posts)Those who fail to learn all they can about the life and death issues affecting them, IMO, are not the wisest owls in the tree. My wife and daughters have exceptionally high IQs and have studied at post grad levels in a few areas. They look to me for my opinions and input. I absolutely support and defer to their decisions on such issues.
All of my "extensive education" has been acquired through self-study and learned from the females in my family. My undergrad degree was in physics.
I generally put my money where my mouth is and have offered to finance an abortion for a family friend.
I'm not seeing how your tangent here has any relevance to the topic of this OP. If this is some half assed purity test, leave me out of it. I solely support Democrats. Period.

(18,576 posts)I did not intend to ask anything planned to be a purity test. I have no doubt you are a genuine Democrat.
You have a nice day as well.

(46,798 posts)Sure thing, ban guns to men!
Phil Hartman was shot and killed by his wife. (Girlfriend?)
Does that mean it makes it ok?
And men are the vast majority of hunters,

and responded to every gun control post asking for something that clearly has no chance of passing, I wouldnt even have time to get up and relive myself.
They like to vent. When you read something like ban them and let the military bomb them, just smile and move on, as what they want isnt going to happen. We arent going to ban men from buying guns, the US isnt going to drop bombs on US Republican towns to scare the rest into handing over guns, any of the other crazy things they WOULD LIKE to see happen but is all just mental masturbation.
