"Hundreds of gun advocates converged...

...on the Massachusetts state house Saturday, protesting a new “enforcement notice” issued by the state attorney general that effectively bans the sale of certain kinds of guns in the state."

"Putting new duplicates of guns specifically prohibited by a 1998 ban on assault weapons in her sights, Healey promised the state's 350 firearm sellers increased enforcement, and woke the "sleeping giant" of Second Amendment advocates.

"There's nearly half a million of us in Massachusetts -- Republican, Democrat and independent -- and she's really woken up a sleeping giant, and her chances of getting elected governor or keeping her office could be over," Massachusetts Gun Rights President Christopher Pinto told the News Service. That afternoon, Gadsden flags flew on the steps of the Statehouse as gun-rights supporters pressed their case that the attorney general was reaching beyond her authority."

For those of you who've always wanted an edict as a present, move to Massachusetts.

by the legislature?

The definition of “assault weapon” is the same as the federal law that went into effect on September 13, 1994. Specific guns are banned by name, and guns with certain combinations of features are banned:

a semiautomatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least 2 of--

(i) a folding or telescoping stock;
(ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon ;
(iii) a bayonet mount;
(iv) a flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor; and
(v) a grenade launcher;

Nothing in there addresses the operating system

...MA has a Republican Governor. I read that he's a bit tentative on gun-control. Think the Governor and the AG will working well together?

And people aren't shy to say it, either:

This is a picture of some of the crowd:

And, lest anyone suggest or imply that its just "white people":

With the latest "Americans support strict gun control by wide margins" talking point being flogged hourly hereabouts, I think this would be a good time to contrast the above images with this image of the latest gun control "protest/vigil":

The Anti-gun folks are in denial.
