Augusta police: Legally armed bystanders break up Walmart shooting

AUGUSTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Augusta Police say two bystanders, legally armed with handguns, stepped in during a shooting incident at a Walmart in Augusta.

Police say four suspects were taken into custody by police Sunday after allegedly firing gunshots in the parking lot of a Walmart.

The suspects involved were sitting in vehicles parked next to each other when the altercation arose. The occupants of one vehicle fired at the occupants of the other, which resulted in return gunfire.

When the shooting stopped, police said one suspect exited their vehicle to confront the occupants of the other. This is when two bystanders, who were legally carrying, interfered and stopped the incident, police said.

If we just had fewer guns it would be falling much faster, they're so sure. No evidence of course, but they're positive.

Coupled with their religious meme that "there are no new gun owners".

Well, except in Illinois and Mass, where we have FOID cards and you can actually count all the new gun owners. Like the 2 million new FOID card holders/gun owners in Illinois alone in the last 2 years.

But I'm sure the other 48 states all must have fewer gun owners, right?

The responding police are all too stupid and/or confused to be able to tell who the good guys versus the bad guys are and will just deservedly shoot everyone with a gun. ... and it will serve them right for having a "gun in their pants" and/or hands.

Just like every state with concealed carry will be a bloodbath and Georgia, with the "Guns Everywhere" law last year, has deteriorated into a Mad Max wasteland of violence.

Must be true, because both committed gun control fans here on DU told me so and they are always correct.
