(2,375 posts)No, but given the fact that gun restriction has it's own protected group, RKBA supporting Dems should have one as well.
Perhaps some day it will happen.

In the end, none...not a single one, of their "common sense" measures would have prevented the murders or crimes committed by people with guns. Sooner or later they will have to come clean and admit their "common sense" approaches are really about taking rights away from everyone

(7,981 posts)Americans who exercise their right to bear arms are a minority in this country and the ones who don't understand the need for gun regulations are an even smaller minority.
When the United States passes laws with firearm restrictions like the UK and Australia, gun nuts will only have themselves to blame for not promoting responsible gun use and ownership.

You want the elimination of the 2A rights GUARANTEED in the constitution.

Not that Controllers have much respect for the 1A, either (or the 4A or the 5A or any other right that proves inconvenient).

(2,493 posts)In the UK or Australia? Congress can't even pass UBCs, which have broad public support. There's very little support for any sort of handgun ban:
Only 27% of Americans say they support this type of ban (with 72% opposing); additionally, 43% of Americans say they have a gun somewhere in the home, with 28% saying they own one personally.
According to the poll, a majority of Americans haven't favored a handgun ban since around 1968 or so.

This is the defacto pro-gun group, whether the pearl clutchers like it or not. If you ignore the drive-by spammings, it's actually pretty decent.
