FBI: Indiana Reported More than 140 Domestic Violence-Related Fatal Shootings From 2006-2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - FBI records show that Indiana reported more than 140 domestic violence-related fatal shootings from 2006 through 2014, although the number is likely higher because some of the state's law enforcement agencies didn't report such data.

The Associated Press analyzed FBI records for that period and found Indiana had 143 fatal shootings of spouses, ex-spouses or dating partners.

Nearly 80 percent of those victims were women.

Indiana is considered a gun-friendly state. The Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence gives the state a D- and ranks its gun laws 23rd in the nation in terms of toughness.

How does that fit into the overall murder rate for Indiana?

Oh, wait, I'm expecting a reply. My bad.

I'm sure there is far more than 15 abusive households per year in Indiana; deal with the DV and the homicides won't be an issue.

Or is that not part of the agenda?

...to make a fight but only one to make a murder, it is my considered view that taking the role of a pacifist may lead to one being complicit in one's own murder, not in the moral sense but in the active election to object to the idea of self-defense. It's just not natural.

your solution is women carrying guns with them to sleep?

even a lobbyist for the gun industry would have some shame for posting what you posted, however, at least they'd have been paid for saying it.

what's your excuse?

Oh just a few things I need to clear up.
1: An honest thanks for saying that I'm not a paid shill from the Nugent clan.
2: You misunderstood, my reply was generic.
3: I'm not sure what you're saying. Are you referring to post #7 in this thread? I read my own reply in that post twice and the following words don't appear: gun, sleep, women.

But have a nice day anyhow. For the record, I have great respect those who choose individually to be pacifists. I believe they're wrong but we all have a right to make our own choices.

Please return your flight attendant to the upright and locked position. This flight of fancy is about to land.
