Gun Control & RKBA

I'll leave the citation-free argument from authority to the disinterested reader, my

...both in rate *and* absolute number over the last 15 years, all while the number of guns in

A decision to obtain (or not) a gun should be made for real reasons, not ficticious ones.

You lot seem to be quite good at dodging inconvenient discussions-perhaps
you could offer up something to show that this stereotype has no basis in reality...

(3,457 posts)but the fact is we have a gun obsession unlike any other country--
Ive been researching gun violenceand what can be done to prevent itin the U.S. for 25 years. The fact is that if NRA claims about the efficacy of guns in reducing crime were true, the U.S. would have the lowest homicide rate among industrialized nations instead of the highest homicide rate (by a wide margin).
The U.S. is by far the world leader in the number of guns in civilian hands. The stricter gun laws of other advanced countries have restrained homicidal violence, suicides and gun accidentseven when, in some cases, laws were introduced over massive protests from their armed citizens.

lack of political efficacy can be compensated with by doubling down on spamming.

Ever notice how the more outre' and unpopular someone's political stance is, the more they act out?
The RW occupies a wildlife refuge in a half-assed reenaction of "The Alamo", gun control
advocates satisfy themselves with insults, genitalia jokes and reposting other peoples' work...
