Gun rights for accident-prone mom shot down by kids

So this old hippie and CPA (certified peace activist) recently decided to get a gun — you know, for protection against crazies like the Hamburglars, Dexter, fanatical cult members and Donald Trump.

I kid. I kid. Dexter was the good kind of murderer — he only killed the bad guys.

I called my son out East — whose occupation revolves around working with guns. I knew he would be thrilled to hear that his mother, a pacifist who would not even buy him squirt guns when he was a child, wanted to buy a gun.

“Hey, I have decided to buy a gun. What do you recommend and can you show me how to use it?” I asked him over the phone.

some kids "raise themselves". And come out ok.

I think I know this mom, or someone just like her.

Anyway, yes, cute story.

Cut and paste posts.

I see you got Google working again. You have to be right up about 100 posts in this group without commenting and discussing them. I think that might be close to a delicious meat product.

Sure they're low on capacity (usually 5 sometimes 6) but they're pretty much idiot proof. The very first point and click device is still a great option for self defense.

My wife still chooses to carry her 642 with CT laser, even though I have several higher capacity options with better ballastics.

It's always wise to have at least one way to protect/save the lives of yourself and your family.

I had more of an impact on the sister, I recommended a P99 9mm. She's into it enough to want to shoot it a lot, and take classes, etc..
Her friend mentioned his wife's recent purchase of a Ruger LCR - seemed like a good choice too.

The in-law used to be a hippie much like the one in the story (not accident prone though), but since 9-11 has evolved into more of a woman of the wilderness type.
