Vowing to defend the second amendment, Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio suggested to a packed audience in Iowa that guns might be the only tools at their disposal to protect themselves against the Islamic State.
Speaking before a crowd of roughly 600 on Saturday evening in Sioux Center, a city in western Iowa, Rubio issued a stern warning that Barack Obama and his administration were conspiring to confiscate guns. The Florida senator added that, as president, he would uphold the US constitution and ensure that gun rights were protected.
My attorney general is not going to be someone that comes to my office to conspire about how to take away your guns, Rubio said. My attorney general is going to be someone that defends your second amendment right to protect your family, your homes, your business and your property.
Because, if God forbid Isis pays a visit to you, to our community, the last thing standing between them and our families may be the ability to protect ourselves with our guns. And theres no way were going to take that away from the American people, not when Im president.

Isn't he on the other team?
Would you have any comment on this?

(17,502 posts)I'm sure he, Bernie, and I agree that the sky is blue too. He also isn't saying the, then, Secretary General of Interpol after the Westmall gate attack didn't say either. Police officials are becoming more vocal in support of the idea as well.

Are you saying that...
What Rubio said is an example of a broken clock, or are you saying that the average person shouldn't have the right to defend themselves from violent attacks?

#1 reason IMHO is road rage idiots.
Followed by dozens of other nut bag and criminal encounters.
Way down the list is terrorist attack.

(12,194 posts)The number one reason IMHO, used to be because I enjoy shooting, and owning guns is necessary in very rural America.
Now, its because I know how crazy it drives the antis that people own and enjoy guns.

(12,194 posts)I almost want to get an AR, just so I can say I got one, because I know that's a step farther to them than just owning a rim-fire rifle.
Keep it up with the dick jokes, lies and misrepresentations, antis.
Its working oh so well.
