From Utah to Colorado cannabis law is so different

The laws are so different regarding cannabis. Has there ever been such a dramatic difference in any laws state to state?

In one state it is a felony and in another next door you can grow many plants and walk into a store and buy cannabis products for recreation.

This can't stand.

Because it will show people this prohibition is stupid.

And, yeah, it pisses me off that I can't just go pick up some cannabis to use for migraines when I want it, since I'm in an illegal state with assholes in charge, who will probably be among the last to finally decide to stop reefer madness.

I don't know if you've ever been in a place where dry laws were still on the books - but, for a long time, and maybe to this day - one county wouldn't allow alcohol sales while the next would.

This was in Tennessee - and the county where Jack Daniels is made, maybe still is, a dry county. In that case, I figured it was just a form of monopoly for them b/c you can drink in one place - their tasting room.

It's kind of interesting that CO was first, since Coors is there. But CO now has the equivalent of dry county laws for mj too.
