Does anyone here know the process to become legal in CO?

I know I need a doctors OK... But I have no idea what conditions (and I would prefer not to discuss mine here) qualify or where to find a list of them. I know I need an OK from the state... But I have no idea how to go about getting it... Doc first, then the state... State first, then the Doc.

There are a number of dispensaries in my area that advertise Doctors on site but then you can't get in unless you already are certified... WTF?

Any help would be welcome!

but it's my understanding that they are quite similar. the doc i visited was recommended from a friend, however if you open the back of your local weekly alt publication (for us, San Diego Reader or City Beat), there should be an assortment of adverts for doctors that will provide you with a recommendation. i didn't bring any medical records, based on my friend's experience. just explained to the doc that my knee is a little arthritic after two arthroscopic procedures, and that i was already self medicating to help with the pain. after about 20 minutes of back and forth, i was out the door and on my way to one of the local dispensaries. i think i paid $40 for my recommendation.
