Omaha police sent tow trucks into a neighborhood to remove a couple of vehicles parked on the street in an apparently legal manner. When the owners of said vehicles came out to inquire why the vehicles were being towed the police took offense to the line of questioning and violently took one man down and chased the other into his home where who knows what took place. A neighbor recorded it, being careful to keep the blinds closed so as to not be caught then posted it on Youtube. By the time it was all over a dozen police cruisers were on the scene. Obviously this did not happen in a gated community.
This Youtube needs to go viral.

Hell no. We need to demilitarize the police.

Malcolm X was born in Omaha but the Ku Klux Klan forced the family to flee the city.

(13,617 posts)2 guys, a car to be towed.. and a billion police descend on the scene... for what? They have nothing else to do but beat up on a couple of harmless, unarmed, docile people? That's crazy!

(794 posts)According to the NRA and their advocates the best way to stop this sort of unfairness is for citizens to arm themselves and fire on law enforcement officials whenever they violate civil rights. Yep- those citizens should have had some guns so they could have shot those jack-booted thugs! Everything would have turned out so much better.
sarcasm! the friend of the flabbergasted.

(7,571 posts)I came across this Youtube in a Facebook post from a grand nephew who is active duty Navy. He is a gun nut and his comment with the Youtube link stressed possible use of deadly force to defend property as a warning. His mom posted that one of the officers here is the same officer as an uncle of his had a run in with so this isn't the first time this officer has done something like this. That run in may be why this officer called for so much backup as this uncle is a former college linebacker that doesn't take crap from anybody. This nephew, in other words, is attacking this police behavior from a right wing perspective.
