Today in Peace and Justice history on February 2, 1931


The first of well over 400,000 Mexican-Americans from across the country, some of them citizens and many of them U.S. residents for as long as 40 years, were "repatriated" as Los Angeles Chicanos were forcibly deported to Mexico. More on those deported, Los Repatriados http://bit.ly/VBvddF

Who even knew? I have a post-grad degree in American History, but never had heard about this outrage happening. Makes me wonder what else they might have neglected to mention?
