Wonder what Cronkite thought about having to share the screen with a Nazi who made weapons of mass destruction for Hitler?

It was pretty cool TV none the less. Each network had its own team covering big events.

I was young but my brother and dad were all about this so, by osmosis, I was witness to this too. I later, while in college, met his daughter who was an administrator at U of I in Idaho.

The space program was a big deal in our house when I was a kid, my brother made sure I learned everything he did so he could have someone to share all his knowledge with since we moved so often that we were our only friends much of our childhoods.
