On this day, March 22, 1945, Eleanor and Franklin went to Union Station to meet the visiting Governor General of Canada.

FDR and Eleanor had gone over to Union Station at about 4:00 on the afternoon of the 22nd to meet the visiting Governor General of Canada, the Earl of Athlone and Princess Alice.

FDR was born in 1882. He was 63 years and about two months old in these pictures.

I wonder what kind of president he would have been if he hadn't inherited Hoover's Great Depression. Look to his record as Governor of NY I guess.
