#OTD 6/20/1973 President Nixon presented General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev with a 1973 dark blue Lincoln Continental with black velour upholstery at Camp David. In "RN: The Memoirs of Richard Nixon'" the President described a somewhat harrowing drive around the camp, perhaps best summed up by his observation, "Diplomacy is not always an easy art."
