(10,132 posts)because Elm was the only one of the two westbound streets going under the triple overpass that would get them to the freeway that would take them to the Trade Mart for the Presidents speech.
There was no scoping out. There was only the happenstance of Oswald seeing the route in the paper three days before the appearance, and making a decision to try to seize the fame he had been denied by his failed assassination attempt on Edwin Walker in April.
