The "second Cold War" and Cold War 2.0

A DUer recently pointed out that the "second Cold War" occurred when Reagan was president. According to Wikipedia, this is mostly correct:

"Second Cold War" (1979–85)
7.1 Soviet War in Afghanistan
7.2 Reagan and Thatcher
7.3 Polish Solidarity movement and martial law
7.4 Soviet and US military and economic issues

Wikipedia lists four periods of the cold war:
-Beginnings of the Cold War (1947–53)
-Crisis and escalation (1953–62)
-Confrontation through détente (1962–79)
-"Second Cold War" (1979–85)
-Final years (1985–91)
-Aftermath

The New Yorker Magazine's March 16, 2017 issue contained "Trump, Putin and the New Cold War" which has a section "Cold War 2.0."

With recent revelations of cyber war, it's hard to imagine we aren't already in a new Cold War. Experts on some Sunday shows say that a cyber war would involve actual physical damage occurring as a result of the hacking. However, if Trump sits on his tail and doesn't do anything, it would be called surrender.
