Which former President's crypt was robbed and the body lost to history?

Answer: John Hanson

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hanson

" A 1985 State survey had found the crypt and its vault intact and sealed, but by 1987 the archeologist of the Lewis survey states, "About 70 to 80 feet below the site of the plantation house was a deteriorating brick vaulted structure built into the hillside" which the archeologist reported “was the 1783 burial place of John Hanson" and "had been robbed."
Sometime between 1985 and 1987, John Hanson had disappeared. "

someone should have stayed on them. I've seen it before. We have had to disinterments to save grave after the bulldozers arrived. Strange is why the family never got involved early on. No body and developers can do whatever they like.

" Initially trying to dig a grave in the basement, they found that water seeped in wherever they dug, so they simply set the coffin on the ground and covered it with bits of lumber left over from the tomb's construction, disguising the coffin as a woodpile. Two years later, they managed to find a dry corner in another part of the tomb basement to bury the coffin under a few inches of dirt"
