Tiger is starting to look pretty weak. He came to the step for a few bites to eat

I’m really worried he may be winding down. He is 16 years old and has lived outside all his life. This picture was taken last week when he came inside. I’m gonna try and bring him inside later if it gets hot out.

Has it been extremely hot there? Maybe heat fatigue?

I hope he is ok. I know how much you love him...we all do!

He was feral, mostly his life. He decided to live on my porch. So he only went to the vet when he got fixed and vaccinated years ago he hasn’t been since. I just don’t want him to be miserable, but you can’t control everything.

But if his time is near, vet can help him cross so he doesn't suffer.

They get thin and have “the dwindles” as it seems they are slowly dwindling away.
But it could be something easier to fix like Giardia or a respiratory virus. I hope you can get an answer soon and that he feels better.

I would agree with the poster mentioning possible renal failure….

But - If he has never been to a vet and is friendly feral I would Not try to trap him and take him. Too much trauma…… dietary changes could help - raw food did wonders for a few of mine.

Edited to add this vid - my kitties love it when I play it overnight - and similar music helped a few of my senior babies

Unless you have inside cats that would make it too traumatic for everyone. Maybe try giving him some of the gel nutritional supplement. Just put a dab on his paw so he can lick it off, if he won't take it from the tube.

It may be his time. You may have to do the kindest thing....
