In the midst of my sorrow, Martini makes me laugh

She's on my lap and keeps licking my nose; no matter which way I turn, she keeps licking. And purring.

She is a great comfort to me. I don’t know what I would be without her; probably an even bigger mess than I am now.

They seem to know when you need cheering up, so they move in on you and won't leave you alone until they think you feel better.

5. Martini knows that her Mom is sad, and wants to help. Sweet girl.

One of my first kitties used to hug me if I were sad or upset. She would out one paw in each side of my neck, and nuzzle me. It was the most adorable thing!
