Saturday's Horses - Pete and Maddie

Maddie wanted into the barn, but she just couldn't figure out how.

Pete and Maddie look out for each other.

They got their feet trimmed last week. Laurie led
Maddie in first. This was the horses' first time in
the barn.

Our excellent barefoot trimmer Seneca re-introduced
herself to Maddie.

And got started, while Pete looked on.

Maddie stood good.

Soon it was Pete's turn.

Shadow stood by, awaiting the next toenail clipping.

Shadow got her wish and her treat.
Seneca finished up with Pete.

And the horses got back to some good grazing.

Seneca's the best. It seems Shadow should have concerns but she doesn't show any. George McGovern 4 hrs ago #2

Seneca does a great job.
I can’t help but think Shadow is thinking “I hope they’re not gonna do that to ME”
Are the horses staying in the new barn, now?

She focusses on chewy horses' toenails instead.

Pete and Maddie's stall needs heavy-duty rubber mats to cover the gravel before they can move in. Nonetheless, as Laurie says about her barn, "It's gettin' there".
