(27,880 posts)Which is great because she now has full run of the house and loves to explore so I don't have to be a helicopter cat mom. That gives me MUCH more time to cuddle and play with the big kits.

(27,880 posts)She lead her army against the Normans and won the first battle. Her position was betrayed by someone she trusted and after her defeat, she was beheaded. Her name became a battle cry.
Royalty by any other name!

(1,188 posts)When I was a kid, we had a black cat who napped with one eye open. In the Lord of the Rings, the dragon guards his treasure by sleeping with one eye open, so we named the kitten Smaug. His mother was Smudge and his aunt was a calico named Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell lost her kitten and Smudge only had the one. So the sisters would surround Smudge in a circle of motherhood, both grooming and nursing him. He grew up to be a very sweet loving cat, despite the scary name. Thank you for the endearing picture of your Gryff.
