Can any parents out there help my sister with her Ph.D?

Hi all!

My DU bona fides: I've been here since Bush, and I love this place. I don't post much but when I've come to DU for help, you guys always come though.

My little sister is one of the most amazing people I know.
She is a Behaviorist, with her Master's in Psychology, in the last year of her Ph.D.
She has previously worked with autistic children, particularly the ones who could not be mainstreamed.
She is the kind of person who can recognize and celebrate every victory and accomplishment of her charges, even as she spends her days with these wonderful children at some of their lowest moments.
She's six years younger than me, and I am in awe of the work she does.

Her dissertation has her going in a bit of a different direction.
She and her team are studying the effects of parental screen time on childhood development, and she needs to get survey answers from a few hundred people.
She is doing well, but reached out to see if I could maybe find a few more people to take it.

I've taken the survey as a test for her (I don't fit the criteria); it doesn't take that long (about 10 minutes), and it gets you thinking about some of your own behaviors!

Criteria is:
1. Have a child aged 18-30 months.
2. You are the primary caregiver for the child.
3. You are a stay-at-home parent, or work less than 20 hours a week.
4. Are fluent in English.

If you or any family/friends meet the criteria, would you please take a few minutes to help in this research/pass it on to someone who might?

My baby is too old (5) and I work 60 hours a week, so the screens are just a necessary evil!

3. Has she thought about seeing if there are any pediatric offices...

...that would be willing to let her distribute her survey?

I see parents all the time who hold their very young kids on their laps and let the child scroll away on a tablet rather than talk to them or read them one of the many books we have available in our waiting room and exam rooms.

5. Alas, I'm more than 30 years too old to help her.

I was a stay at home mom and I very severely limited screen time, for what that's worth.

Hope your sister finds all the people she needs to complete her research.

I find it interesting that she’s focusing on parental screen time rather than child screen time.
