For the first time in ages the weather has cooperated to allow my hydrangeas to bloom.
If you don't mind going to the link and expanding the post, you'll see some of my garden photos. I've lost the login credentials for flickr where I used to host my photos to post here. I also think I posted some in low res because I reduced them to send in an email to my mom, so not ideal, but you get the idea.

Cross-posted to Photography Group.
Edited to say that I've added more of my garden photos to my Houzz post, in case anyone is interested.

(18,602 posts)Your garden is exquisite! The time and effort must be enormous, so glad that this year they paid you back. Cars must stop in front of your home just to gawk, I certainly would.💖

(10,029 posts)You're very kind.
I do often ask myself if I thought I could afford a full-time crew to care for this enormous project I created. Each year it gets harder. But ones like this make it worthwhile.
We are at the dead end of a road, so no cars go by. Which, we like. (Now if we could just get the dirt bikes and quads that roar through the woods to disappear...)

But my husband invited our friends to come see our garden this year because the hydrangeas, in particular, were just blooming their heads off. I let him do the tours so I wouldn't ruin it by telling everyone what was wrong! Everyone was very complimentary and it was pretty darn nice to hear.

(10,029 posts)But they've been doing pretty well the past few years. Also, the deer didn't chomp them, which some years they have, to my great dismay!
