So how do I kill horseradish?

I moved my horseradish to another spot and want to plant asparagus where it was. How to I kill off the remaining horseradish? I just didn't need 30 or so plants that I had.

1. You have to dig it up and it's not easy to get all of the roots

If you don't get all of the roots, it will come back. For that reason it's best to grow it in containers, which you might want to consider if you are moving it.

2. will it get nice thick roots in containers

3. I'm sure it depends on the size of the containers

The one and only time I've grown it was in a container that was taller than it was wide and I got decent results. I haven't tried growing it outside a container, but I suspect it would actually do better in a container around here or at the very least raised beds because the soil has a very high PH.

when it appears. Try to get all the roots and not leave severed pieces behind.
