Bah humbug!
Or, more accurately, bah APHIDS!
The little buggers have been popping up there and there all Spring, but in the last few days they have been besieging one of my tomato plants. Oddly, it's only the Wild Cherry that they are bothering, but I fear they may soon notice there are other tasty plants just inches away.
I've been picking and squishing the little pink menaces, but the poor plant already has some droopy outer leaves. 
Will be applying some organic insecticidal soap this evening in hopes of stopping further damage.
Some people advise washing off the soap in the morning and some say leave it.
Do you all use insecticidal soap and do you wash it off after it's done its work?

But at least they still aren't bothering any other tomatoes. It will be weird if I end up with yellow, orange and black cherries but no reds.
( b/c I gave the your Red Robin to my mother who says it is making tomatoes like gangbusters. Will definitely have that on my list for next year!)
same price as the insecticidal soap and they will hang around for years. I had on-and-off problems with mostly aphids on roses. I tried corn 3 years ago and ended up with black aphids. $7 worth of lady bugs saved the corn and I haven't seen an aphid since. lots of ladybugs still 
and had to go get them. It was worth the drive
