All that's left of my apple tree

I finished snipping and bagging the smaller branches and now I'm awaiting my brother and his chain saw. I filled 13 yard waste bags with debris from the 2 trees and have some nice limbs that will be sectioned into fireplace wood and left to dry until next Winter.

Hard to believe this whole 'journey' started a week ago today. The weather was dire. Today it is sunny, partly cloudy and the temperature is still in the 70's.

I guess there was a storm that did the damage. We have ice storms in our area . One year it took my Apple tree down but I propped it back up. That was years ago & it still gives beyond my ability to utilize. I made 7 gallons of apple filling this year & left many apples on the tree.

Time to buy a sapling.

We had one finally pull out of the ground last week that had gotten quite large. Also turned into firewood. Now, we had one of the peach trees split.
