Gardening
Related: About this forumI'm still harvesting cucumbers from my garden here in Upper Michigan
Had two yesterday for lunch along with a bowl of San Marzano tomatoes.
We usually have frost here towards the end of September but nothing yet.

(10,784 posts)Tomato for sauce, imho. Weather has been strange for a Michigan October usually scurrying about covering for frost, harvesting before the freeze. Not this year.
Another bumper year for black walnuts mustve moved about a half ton yesterday and gotta clean up today before a must cut on the grass, more rain starting tomorrow.
All the rain, wind and yo-yo temperatures made us harvest the rest of our roma tomatoes yesterday. They were looking bloated, ready to split open.
All the peppers are still doing well.
This weather is so weird
my next door neighbor still has his cannabis plant outside and its doing very well!

(24,094 posts)so days where I had to turn the heat on, but I still haven't yet as I told my SO, who did tell me that the colder weather is coming over the several days...we'll see. I haven't seen in quite a while how long the Summer heat has lasted into the Fall. As a friend of mine said, he wouldn't mind that the weather stays nice and warm (not too hot) until Xmas day, snow on that day, and then revert back to nice and warm weather afterwards (he's 78, and I kind of agree w/ him, it would be nice for a change to not worry about frost/ice/snow for a while in the mid-west, as we usually have).
