Making pumpkin pie is a big deal.
Clean the pumpkin out. Eat the seeds.
Slice it and roast it in the oven. Cool it.
Remove the outer skin.
Slow roast the pulp some more until thick.
Make the pie
It's worth it.
Making it with a real "pie pumpkin" is less effort.

I've always wanted to grow pumpkins. Did you grow from seed right in the garden?
