Hen of the Woods grows in our yard every year. Not as tasty as C.O,T.W. but still a treat.

When I read the title I was thinking of a restaurant in Vermont, "Chicken of the Woods" (Waterbury, Burlington)

But at the mushroom store it's just pieces. Never anything that size.

Then or course, there is Lions Mane that we find on hikes in N.j. ---- and the occasional Morel.

when foraging. Lions mane is another of my favorites too. I was thinking if getting one of those kits for lions mane and maitakes.( hen of the woods).
