Federal officials have received at least five reports of incidents involving expelled hot food or liquid, including four cases with severe second-degree burns.

ASHINGTON — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is urging consumers to immediately stop using certain Gourmia pressure cookers after multiple reports of severe burn injuries linked to the appliances.

In a warning issued Tuesday, the agency said the six-quart digital pressure cookers can open while still pressurized, allowing hot contents to spray out and cause serious burns.
