A hamantash is an Ashkenazi Jewish triangular filled-pocket pastry associated with the Jewish holiday of Purim. The name refers to Haman, the villain in the Purim story. In Hebrew, hamantashen are also known as אוזני meaning "Haman's ears".

Poppy seed and apricot are my faves. Not combined of course.

Grocery here used to have them (originally established by Jewish family.)
Just learned these are gluten- and dairy-free.

They must be hard to find, apparently, seeing them only once - and that was in a city with numerous kosher delis and bakeries.
