I think I’ll have mine with one egg and ham bits.

A few red, orange, and gold sweet peppers for crunch.

A friend sent me some new tea. It is some type of turmeric tea, so I will try that this morning.

Then we went downstairs and I steamed some frozen dumplings. Saturday Dumpling Company is relatively new to our area and the frozen dumplings are for sale at the co-op.

They were very good. We each had 2 pork and 2 beef and I made small dishes of dip sauce (hoisin, soy and hot oil). The thick crimped edges were less noodley and more doughy, but I think that was a me problem. They were hot through and cooked inside, but could have used a couple more minutes in the steamer, even though I gave them the full time on the package.

I really want to work on my dim sum, especially the steamed bread bao. Those are my personal favorite, especially since my pot stickers sometimes turn into pot sticker hash. I think I've got the bao dough flavor and texture down, but I haven't come up with a filling that I really like, and I haven't got a firm handle on how much filling to use and how thin the dough needs to be. But homemade dim sum is a real project and you can't just make a few. I've got a few other things on my plate at the moment.
