Spaghetti and meatballs, which I have not had in an age. Lotsa parmesan over the top.
Also a salad. This is one of my favorite salad combos: mixture of iceburg or romaine and a little red tip, just for color. Crispiness is what I'm after. Then Cheddar cheese cubes, red onion, turkey bacon crumbles, cucumber, celery, green pepper, and Chinese noodles over the top. French dressing.
Cherry kombucha.
Dessert: crumbled yellow cake with melted vanilla ice cream; sliced banana and blackberries. Toasted almonds.

(6,690 posts)I’ll eat a little before work with warm flour tortillas. Maybe a small salad at work. Homemade ranch dressing

(2,993 posts)Sautéed boneless chicken thighs, in butter, a bit of flour to coat on the stove top, 6 oz or so diced mushrooms, half to three quarter cup of white wine. Salt and peppered to taste. Simmered with, my add, spinach. Half a cup of cream and chopped tarragon to finish.
Our fish market had a new delivery so we bought some goodies.
The shark filets will be sautéed with peaches and served with Basmati rice and a cucumber salad.

(3,246 posts)I was raised on the GULF of MEXICO coast, came from a long line of commercial fishermen. Our fish was always prepared to be savory. Just the thought of something sweet with it doesn't set well in my mind, but my brother-in-law was telling me something about serving it with grape jelly? Really? What can you tell me about this trend toward sweet with fish? I am opened minded and willing to learn.

(1,354 posts)Chopped romaine, spring mix and sliced Savoy cabbage are the greens. Added chopped tomato, pickled beets, sliced radish, sliced red onion, sliced mushrooms and black olives. Dressing was homemade Balsamic-Walnut. I topped my salad with a drained can of sardines packed in hot sauce. My wife topped hers with chopped Tofurky smoked “turkey”. Also had toasted baguette slices. Iced green tea with lemon. Cheers! 🥂

(11,013 posts)I soak it in milk or buttermilk overnight, then cook with sauteed onions. The bacon sounds like an interesting addition.
with green pepper and artichoke hearts. I'm getting to prefer our homemade ones to the delivered ones - especially cause Mr. Retrograde does the hard part of making and kneading the crust.
