Update: Salad was good using Polish sausage and a tad easier than cooking bacon but, I missed the smokiness the bacon added. My sausage wasn't smoked of it was a light smoke. For potatoes I used baby golds, they're about the size of a golf ball, they come in a 1.5 pound bag for under $3.00. I boil them with the skins on and give them a smash not a mash when done then pour my sauce on. Pretty damn good.

I would love to make that when I harvest my potatoes. I lost my recipe I had from my MIL and I love warm German potatoes.
