Stuffed yellow zucchini. This big boy got away from me and so I decided to stuff it with a ground beef mixture. Also lots of Swiss cheese and Parmesan. Usually I pick them when they are only about 4-5 inches long but this one grew like crazy during that week of rain we had last week.
This is without the stuffing, but shows the basted squash (marjoram, olive oil, and garlic). Love the grill marks!
Stuffed with ground beef, onion, crumbled club crackers. There is a layer of Swiss cheese on the bottom and on the top, grated Parmesan.
I tasted it and it's very good but I think it would be even better with tomato sauce on top, so when I go out to look for a new oven, I think I'll pick some up.
Later on I'll also have a BBQ chicken sandwich with peach barbecue sauce I made a few days ago.
Of course a salad.
Cherry kombucha and no dessert, but I might get something when I'm out.

(6,332 posts)My main meal today. Had so much Pho veggies left from the takeout I got a demi baguette and some Black Forest ham. Quick pickled a carrot and sliced some cuke. Still had Thai basil, bean sprouts, jalapeño. Used sweet chili sauce as the dressing as I dont t usually keep mayo.
Later I will have a couple tacos at my usual Tuesday joint. This Bahn mi is pretty big so that will tide me over for a long time.

(18,984 posts)I put sliced potatoes on foil with olive oil in the bottom of my broiler pan, put the chicken on top. About 30 minutes later, dumped a bag of California medley and some onion on top of the potatoes and let it all cook for 1/2 hour longer. I have some Catllemen's Gold BBQ sauce, so had a bit of that on the chicken.
More birthday cake for dessert.

(38,961 posts)After a couple of hours at the eye doctor, then more than an hour at the phone store (to find out why Al's phone number won't port to his new phone) and then a stop at Aldi to get some much needed groceries...
Al decided to give me a break from cooking dinner.
The restaurant is "The 99" and I think it's local to New England (maybe even just Massachusetts) and the burger is the "All-Star burger." It has American chsese, lettuce, tomatoes, caramelized onions, pickles and bacon... Absolutely all the right ingredients for a burger and nothing unnecessary. When it's cooked properly (and the person at this particular location usually does cook it properly) it is THE PERFECT burger. It's gotten to the point where I no longer ask for a menu when we go there. When perfection is on the menu, there's no point in entertaining other options.
No dessert, but I did have a House margarita.
