Breakfast Monday, 8 July 2024

Whew, couldn't sleep hardly at all last night. I been down on my knees pulling small willow trees and weeds around my pond. Now I'm down in the back and my knees are aching. I'm getting up there in age and today I feel like an old man. The sad part is, I still have a ways to go to make my pond beautiful again.

Drinking black coffee ☕ and having a toasted bagel with Philadelphia cream cheese.

It's been a little over a month now and I haven't heard anything from irisblue. I hope she is doing better.

Good Morning

Strawberry yogurt and a banana, soon.

Take care, Emile. Tylenol Arthritis helps my aching joints.
I am concerned about irisblue.

Doctor told me I could use up to 8 tablets a day. I take one first thing in the morning and they help.

BLT with avocado. Turkey bacon.

The funny thing is that I was up at 6 and noticed the aroma of toast. It is everywhere and hasn’t gone away. It is now 8:30 am. Weird! But pleasant.

Emile, go around and shovel under the weeds and tree roots. Then you just have to shake them and discard later to compost.

Use an ice block on your back. It works wonders!

it works pretty good. Pretty hard to use a shovel because I have rocks all along the edge of my pond. I have one side of the pond done and it looks pretty good. I need to put more sand on the beach. Anyways here is what I got done so far.

Lots of trees and grass. Now it is fun watching all the butterflies swirling around. Don’t remember seeing so many in past years.

No breakfast this morning. I am waiting for Bell Bros. to do their yearly a/c check. I am having a chicken Caesar salad for lunch with some iced coffee.

Hoping Iris Blue is okay.

I was a little younger then. I would drive my small John Deere with a bucket loader in the cornfield and load and unloaded all the rocks by hand. Farmer really appreciated it too, lol.

I am so envious (in a good way)... I'd give anything to have a yard that looks like that. My backyard is the size of a postage stamp, and mostly grassless. I DO have a lot of trees, considering the size of the lot. That means lots of shade... great for lounging in the evenings during the summer, but not so great if you want anything on the ground to grow... especially if you were born with a black thumb. I salute all your hard work. I'm getting ready to head outside to continue picking up sticks and branches fallen from our trees, as well as see if any nuts are ready for picking. The crab apples are already littering the ground, making the squirrels very happy.
