Family just brought me iced coffee w almond milk,

which I've never had; I usually have half and half. Coffee with almond milk tastes pretty good, but just checked, it's seriously deficient in protein value; 1 gram protein, and comparable amount of whole 'cow' milk contains 8 grams protein.

However, really yummy alt-milk drinks include a pistachio late made with pistachio milk (has to be made in-house as there are no commercial ones), or a “tree hugger” latte, which is maple syrup and soy. There’s something about that combo that’s seriously good.

I'm on ciprofloxicin for a UTI and there are some reports that diary consumption can cut the absorption down to 70%. I *REALLY* wanted cereal this morning and my daughter suggested the almond milk. Trying to cut dairy has been interesting. I never realized how much of a part milk and cheese play in my daily diet.
