Large bottles of domestic and imported EVOO were $30 - and more for the better imports.

Climate change and war are taking a big bite out of global olive and olive oil production.

Not good.

Married couple. He's American, and she's Italian and very strident about doing Italian food correctly in her view. He likes to have her try American pizza, Hot Pockets, Olive Garden, etc.

The thing is that the taste of this miracle oil depends on a bunch of factors. From the quality of the soil and climate to how ripe the olives are and how the processing process went. In general, the influence of external conditions is enormous.
