one of my favorite places to stop when I travel in Iowa is a chain of quick marts that has a "make fresh to order" kitchen and for breakfast they have a great grilled cheese BLT. It's on thick white bread toast so you get just a hint of buttery on the outside and then cheese inside with bacon, lettuce and a fresh tomato slice. I order it with a big hot chocolate and then I get to sit down and make the world go away.

It's so spicy!

Pomegranate kombucha.

Then three more hours of working in the garden, cleaning out overgrowth and putting leaves on the raised beds.

Whole grain bread, mayo, coarse ground salt and pepper. Plus coffee.

I'm down to enough white meat to make some version of tetrazzini for supper with the last of it. After that, it's one leg/thigh
and 2 wings left, which I may dice and freeze. Stuffing is gone. I food-milled the last of the cranberry sauce last night and canned 2 half-pints of cranberry jelly - they last just as long as any other jelly. One may get used at Christmas. And the bones all go in a freezer bag, waiting to become poultry broth when I get 2 full gallon bags of bird bones. The non-bird bones go in different bags for the same idea.

Use it up, wear it out, etc...
