What's for Dinner, Thurs., Sept. 14, 2023

Malaysian Street Pancakes from my Jeremy Pang School of Wok cookbook.

Using Tumaro oat flax wrapper. The pancakes have shrimp filling, turnip, carrot, sesame oil, romaine lettuce leaves, spring onions, and peanuts. Top all this with crispy fried shallots.

Pink lemonade raspberry kombucha.

Mandarins and red grapes for dessert with Earl Grey tea.

on edit: oops, forgot I have fresh figs for tonight! I am having that with artisan crackers and mascarpone.

I have a corned beef brisket in the sous vide cooker, but it won't be ready in time for tonight. Generally speaking, sous vide produces perfectly cooked food, exactly to taste, but it requires pre-planning, especially for large, tough cuts of beef that can easily take one or two full days to become tender.

So we'll have salmon tonight.

had a large lunch so essentially just snacking. But these were real nachos, as Nacho made them - chips individually assembled with cheese and homemade pickled jalapeños
