(24,145 posts)I was wondering if you have a good recipe for spaghetti squash? We have it coming out of our ears.
First, I think you're lucky to have lots of them. They keep well, as you know.
Here are a couple things I like to do with them. First, I cut them in half and remove the seeds. Then I cook them in the slow cooker along with garlic, herbs, and a few peppercorns.
I store these in the refrig and use them for multiple purposes:
--pull out the strands with a fork and pan fry them along with parmesan in butter. Not very much, though, because I want it to be crispy. Add basil pesto, too.
-- cut up a chorizo into coins and slowly brown them; then add the spaghetti squash strands.
I ran across this cookbook at Amazon "Spaghetti Squash" and on the "look inside" feature I found a long list of ideas for what to do with spaghetti squash *using the list under the table of contents). It was from this that I found a recipe by just searching under "spaghetti squash cheesy bread." Was that ever good!
