What's for Dinner, Thurs., Aug. 31, 2023

Chef salad. Mixed garden green varieties, including tatsoi and mustard greens. Avocado, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, scallion, carrot. Chipotle roasted turkey, sliced ham. Ranch dressing. Garlic parmesan croutons.

Last night I did some blackened eggplant cubes and caramelized onions to put on a naan bread pizza; when served I will add eggplant caviar to put on each slice.

Cherry kombucha.

Dessert is a strawberry fruit bar and Earl Grey tea.

My former brother-in-law and his new girlfriend are staying in our NYC apartment for the weekend. The restaurant next door is superior.

I’m planning on the shrimp in green sauce with rice and beans. Dos Equis, of course.

Wish there were a 'superior,' or just 'good' Mexican restaurant near here. and/or Chinese and Italian. (FAIRLY decent Thai place 15 miles away, near my doc.)

no hurricane .. just some rain ..

6. Early dinner at Olive Garden. We ate their Fettuccine Alfredo,

garlic bread sticks and toss salad.

8. Leftovers from lunch

Mr. Retrograde and I were running errands this morning and stopped for lunch at one of my favorite Chinese places. We've ordered take out from them during the pandemic, and portions were large, but their lunch special were enormous! So it's ma pa tofu and Hunan squid again for dinner.
